About Me
My Passion
I Have been lucky enought to be able to pursue my passion for working with wood. My early retirement was not for a good reason, but it had a very good result. To add to that we moved to live in the South of France, not far from Carcassonne, in 2004 and realised another passion. We never did like the end of our holidays here and the trip back to the U.K. really.
Ma passion
J'ai eu la chance pour être en mesure de poursuivre ma passion pour le travail du bois . Ma retraite anticipée n'a pas été pour une bonne raison , mais il y avait un très bon résultat . Pour ajouter à cela , nous avons déménagé pour vivre dans le sud de la France , non loin de Carcassonne , en 2004 et réalisé une autre passion . On n'a jamais fait comme la fin de nos vacances ici et le voyage de retour à l'Angleterre.
My workshop.
My workshop is a dream for me. I have all the room I need, if you don't count that I am not very tidy? From what I have made over the past 20 years I have bought all of the tools I need to make the work easier. Wood working is a hobby for me, but so far it has paid its way.
Mon atelier .
Mon atelier est un rêve pour moi . J'ai toute la place que je dois , si vous ne comptez pas que je ne suis pas très bien rangé ? D'après ce que je l'ai fait au cours des 20 dernières années, je l'ai acheté tous les outils que je dois rendre le travail plus facile . Le travail du bois est un passe-temps pour moi, mais jusqu'à présent, il a payé son chemin .
The challenge.
I love it when a friend or neighbour comes to me and asks if I can make something special for them? Anything from a replica of a family heirloom to an egg cup. I also love to do pyrography and Celé was our lovely chocolate labrador. The frame around her name is the natural grain of the beech wood.
Le défi.
Je l'aime quand un ami ou un voisin vient à moi et demande si je peux faire quelque chose de spécial pour eux? Tout à partir d'une réplique d'un héritage familial à un coquetier . J'aime aussi faire la pyrogravure et du Célé était notre belle labrador chocolat . Le cadre autour de son nom est le fibre naturel du bois de hêtre .
The next chapter.
For us the next chapter in our lives was to move back to England. After 13 lovely years in France we took the difficult decision and soled our lovely house before we moved. I am be carrying on with my turning and wood butchering. I love it too much to stop.
Well, we are at last settled in a lovely village in NW Wiltshire and I have my workshop once again. So I can restart my turning, along with a thousand 'new home' jobs.It seems a long road to here, but worth it me-thinks.
Hopefully I will be able to find time to keep this site up to date too?
